Job summary

Methodist Southwest Medical Center in the Dallas area is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide high-level nursing care. The nurse will use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for assigned patients while supporting the mission, vision, and values of Methodist Health System.

The successful candidate will have an accredited nursing education, current BLS, Texas RN licensure (or eligibility), and at least 2 years of RN experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification.
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so.
• Work experience: 2 years RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment using communication and teamwork.
• Assumes responsibility for nursing components of patient/family education.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic environment; ensures accurate and timely documentation.
• Provides medication and IV administration following nursing processes to ensure quality patient care.

Your Job Responsibilities

Provides a therapeutic environment through safe, accurate, and timely medication and IV administration. Takes personal responsibility and initiative for performance and for professional growth and development. Utilizes the nursing process to ensure quality patient care is provided throughout the episode of care. Other duties as assigned.
