Job summary

Endeavor Health in Bannockburn is seeking a Registered Nurse, Cardiac Imaging, for a full-time role with site rotation. The RN will perform stress testing, assess patients, and collaborate with the care team to ensure optimal outcomes.

You will develop and adjust care plans, educate patients, and support HIPAA compliance, including contrast administration and IV management. Travel between Highland Park, Gurnee and Glenview is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Experience in Cardiac Imaging.
• Solid critical thinking and stress testing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform stress testing.
• Develops a plan of care that identifies interventions to achieve expected outcomes; evaluates and revises as needed.
• Provides patient assessment and health data collection.
• Communicates care plan to patient and family and coordinates with physicians and team.
• Educates patients and families based on learning needs and cultural background.
• Collaborates with peers and delegates tasks as needed.
• Provide psychological support and assist technical staff with procedures.
• Participates in research and keeps updated on wound/ostomy/skin care trends.

Hourly Pay Range

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Position: Registered Nurse, Cardiac Imaging
• Location: Bannockburn (with site rotation)
• Full Time
• Hours: 7:00-3:30, 7:30-4:00 or 8:00-4:30 (depending on site)
• Required Travel: yes, must rotate sites in Highland Park, Gurnee and Glenview
• On Call: One Saturday a month, 8 – 12 pm

What You Will Do

• Perform stress testing
• Develops a plan of care that identifies interventions to achieve expected outcomes. Evaluates patient’s progress toward attainment of outcomes, systematically revises diagnosis, interventions and expected outcomes as needed.
• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers. .
• Communicates plan of care to patient and family regularly respecting the patient’s wishes through acknowledgment of patient/family perceptions of health and illness and mutual goal setting for optimal outcomes. Communicates patient data to physician and interdisciplinary team as indicated to achieve patient care needs. Documents patient health data, interventions and communications.
• Individualizes patient and family teaching based on a thorough assessment to meet their specific learning needs. Assesses patient’s cultural background, learning style, learning barriers, and modifies teaching plan accordingly. Provides teaching on disease management strategies, emergency care and drug information when appropriate. Identifies community resources to support patient self-management of disease.
• Interacts with and contributes to professional development of peers, students and other health care providers as colleagues.
• Shares knowledge, provides feedback and contributes to an environment supportive of clinical education. Assigns or delegates tasks as needed.
• Nurture a compassionate environment by providing psychological support
• Provide assistance to technical staff with injection of contrast, venipuncture, and administration of drugs, 02 therapy, and IV management.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and nursing research. Keeps abreast of research and practice trends in wound/ostomy/skin care through participation in professional networking, ongoing education, and self-directed learning activities. Supports staff in using research and providing evidence-based care
• Complies with HIPAA regulations.
• Assist in the transporting of acutely ill patients as needed.

What You Will Need

• Education: Nursing Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Certification: BLS, ACLS
• Experience: Cardiac Imaging
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Solid Critical thinking skills, Prior Stress testing experience preferred
