Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Irving, TX seeks a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac ICU/PCU to join a multidisciplinary team. You will oversee patient care using a professional practice model, with focus on post-cardiotomy and interventional cardiac patients on a Cardiac Universal Bed.

Nurses must be comfortable handling ICU and telemetry patients. Relocation assistance is offered for eligible candidates relocating 50+ miles.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of true, recent ICU RN experience.
• BLS certification required or to be obtained within 30 days of start.
• Familiarity with the Texas Nursing Practice Act and hospital procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed clinical assessments and create, implement and evaluate care plans.
• Educate patients and families; document learning needs regularly.
• Delegate tasks based on condition and team competencies; ensure safety.
• Coordinate with colleagues to deliver safe, effective patient care.
• Assess patient responses and adjust plans to achieve outcomes.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families and staff.
