Job summary

Maimonides Medical Center, a leading teaching hospital in Brooklyn, seeks a Part-Time RN for the Cardiac Cath Lab. The role requires ICU and telemetry experience, NY RN licensure, and BLS certification. On-call duties include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities include delivering nursing care, coordinating with teams, and applying evidence-based practice to patient care. It is a 0.5 full-time equivalent position with shift from 7am to 7:30pm.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current NYS RN licensure required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ICU experience required.
• Telemetry experience required.
• On-call evenings, weekends and holidays.

Overview

Under the general supervision of the Nursing Director or Assistant Nursing Director provides direct nursing care to patients.

CARDIAC CATH LAB

Part-Time (0.5/18.75)

7am - 7:30pm

Responsibilities

OTHER JOB DUTIES

Maintains competencies in individual field of responsibility

Participates in the interview and evaluation of new health care team members

Acts as preceptor for new health care team members

Utilizes computer systems as they pertain to job responsibilities and in accordance with hospital policy

Participates in MMC’s ongoing Quality Performance Improvement initiatives; identifies opportunities for organizational improvements.

Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications

Education:

Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing school required; BSN preferred.

Current NYS licensure as RN required.

Current BLS certification required.

Experience:

Professional nursing experience appropriate to the service and the position.

ICU experience REQUIRED. 1-2 years Telemetry experience REQUIRED. On-call required for evenings, weekends and holidays.

Skills:

Clinical skills for patient care delivery through the nursing process.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Good interpersonal skills.

Analytical skills

Speaks, reads and writes English to the extent required by the position; fluency in a second language preferred.

Pay Range

USD $59,185.13 - USD $59,185.13 /Yr.
