Job summary

Iredell Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to coordinate comprehensive patient care, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care in line with the hospital's philosophy and standards.

Shift: M-F, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM with 8 hr. and 10 hr. shifts. Must hold NC RN licensure, BCLS certification, complete orientation, and be able to lift up to 30 pounds.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse Licensure in North Carolina.
• Certification in BCLS through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Successful completion of orientation covering age & population specific skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and have full range of motion for duties.

Responsibilities

• Prescribes nursing care, delegates nursing activities and coordinates assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.

Job description

The Registered Nurse prescribes nursing care, delegates nursing activities, and coordinates the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care to provide optimal quality care, consistent with the hospital’s mission and nursing philosophy, objectives, and standards. Has full access to patient health information.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse Licensure in North Carolina.
• Certification in BCLS through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Successful completion of a hospital and unit-specific orientation which includes age and population specific skills for the area of practice in which the RN will be working and addresses the growth and development needs for the patients for whom theRN will be providing nursing care.
• Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
