River Place Behavioral Health, a service of Ochsner Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse for day, evening, or PRN shifts in LaPlace, LA. The role offers 12-hour shifts, with every other weekend, and a $10k bonus for FT days. Rates can reach up to $42/hour with shift differentials.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Must possess a current RN license as required by the state of employment or be eligible to practice nursing.
• One year of nursing experience; prior psychiatric/behavioral health or substance use nursing is a plus.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training provided).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

Responsabilités

• Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and educate patients and families about conditions.
• Administer medications per order and document controlled substances.
• Complete admission and discharge processing and ensure professional patient interactions.
