Job summary

The Detroit Medical Center (DMC), part of Tenet Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Patient Testing Center in Detroit. The RN leads nursing care for a patient group with collaboration from the care team, applying independent judgment and coordination across services.

The RN role encompasses leadership, teaching, and supervision within the Patient Care Services Team, with delegated care and discharge planning responsibilities in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• Licensed to practice as an RN in the state of Michigan required.
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians and other health care providers.
• Delegates, assesses, provides and evaluates patient care.
• Provides and delegates patient care activities to team members.
• Monitors patient progress and prepares patient for discharge.
• Reports directly to senior unit management and participates in shared decision‑making activities.
