We have 5 Foot & Ankle surgeons in our clinic, along with a nurse practitioner. Our providers are a joy to work with and we enjoy a positive work environment. We have great teamwork within our clinic.
The Registered Nurse in our clinic would have a primary role of Triage nursing alongside our current triage RN. However this RN would also be trained in PRP procedures, nurse visits, and training within our clinic if that need would arise. One on one cast and splint training would be provided as well. This position can either be a 0.9 or 1.0 position. This position allows for variety and many opportunities to learn new skills.
Answers patient inquiries over the telephone, assessing the severity of the patient's symptoms and medical needs according to triage algorithms.
Guides the patient to the appropriate level of care; schedules patient appointments over the phone with appropriate healthcare providers/facilities/physicians.
Documents information provided to patients during triage in health record systems; records patients health conditions for follow-up patient care.
Maintains and develops triage protocols; ensures patients' healthcare information is updated on time.
Role does answer inquiries through multiple variations of technology, depending on department.
Educate patients based on calls that come in.
