Novant Health Pediatrics Blakeney is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) to support pediatric patients in a fast-paced clinic. Schedule includes Wed-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm and select Saturdays, offering 1-2 shifts monthly.

The RN will room patients, collect vitals, perform phlebotomy and point-of-care tests, triage concerns, and document accurately. Strong communication with families and staff is essential.

Qualifications

  • RN licensure in the appropriate state
  • One year of relevant nursing experience preferred
  • Basic life support (BLS) required, ACLS/PALS preferred

Responsibilities

  • Greet and room patients, measure vital signs, document histories, and prepare for examinations.
  • Perform clinical procedures including phlebotomy and point-of-care testing.
  • Triage patient concerns and coordinate appropriate care and follow-up with providers.
  • Complete forms and clinical documentation accurately with clear communication to staff and patients.
  • Follow vaccine administration and safety protocols and monitor patients post-procedure

What We Offer

Novant Health Pediatrics Blakeney is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN)!

Work Schedule: Wed-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm, Saturday 9:00am-12:00pm - 1-2 Saturday shifts a month

The Registered Nurse serves as a leader of the healthcare team at Novant Health by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system, collaborating with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care that promotes optimal health or supports a peaceful death. The Registered Nurse utilizes best scientific evidence and compassion to assist the patient in navigating their health journey. The Registered Nurse accepts responsibility, authority, and accountability for management and provision of care in accordance with the current policies and procedures.

What You’ll Do

Job responsibilities include:

  • Room patients, obtain and document vital signs, update medical histories, and prepare patients for provider examinations.
  • Perform clinical procedures including phlebotomy, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing such as flu, COVID-19, and other diagnostic screenings.
  • Triage patient concerns and assist with coordinating appropriate care, referrals, and follow-up needs.
  • Complete patient forms and medical documentation accurately while maintaining effective communication with patients, providers, and office staff.
  • Perform laboratory quality control procedures, monitor patients following vaccine administration, and ensure compliance with clinical and safety protocols.
What We’re Looking For
  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
  • Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current RN license in appropriate state, required. ACLS, PALS, BAT and DOT, preferred.
