Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• One year of recent RN/LPN/medical assistant experience in ambulatory or similar setting; or current Cleveland Clinic caregiver transferring within ambulatory Cleveland Clinic.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification within six months of hire in areas with moderate sedation or cardiac stress testing.
• Demonstrates clinical competence.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
• Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage and establish care plans.
• Administer medication and treatments.
• Initiate CPR and other emergency measures as needed.
• Notify the physician or LIP of abnormal findings.
• Assist with specialized diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and equipment.
• Develop, evaluate and document health education for patients and families.
• Cover other nursing roles within the department.
• Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures.
