Job summary

Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) Everett Hospital is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to join the Medical Specialties Clinic. The RN will provide patient care in ambulatory settings with responsibilities spanning assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation within the Nursing Standards of Care.

The role supports cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, and other specialties across CHA's sites. The ideal candidate holds MA RN licensure, is BLS certified, and has ambulatory nursing

Qualifications

  • Ambulatory nursing experience preferred.
  • Oncology/Infusion experience required or preferred.
  • Medical Specialties experience preferred.
  • Maintains current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and provide patient care for ambulatory patients per Nursing Standards of Care.
  • Assess, implement and evaluate nursing care with initiative and clinical skill.
  • Coordinate care across cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology and other specialties as needed.

Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) is a community hospital that cares for a highly diverse population in the Boston metro-north region. As a member of our Medical Specialty team, you will help us care for patients in Cardiology, Dermatology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Geriatrics, Hematology/Oncology, Infectious Disease, Neurology, and Pulmonary Medicine. This includes consults and procedures at our two acute care hospitals and ambulatory care at our three medical specialty clinics.

Summary: The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for planning and providing patient care for patients in accordance with established Nursing Standards of Care. They demonstrate initiative, knowledge and clinical skills in caring for patients with complex needs. They effectively manage patients by assuming full responsibility for the assessment, plan, implementation and evaluation of nursing care.

Qualifications:
  • Education/Training: A graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN Preferred.
  • Licensure: Current or conditional MA RN Licensure required
  • Certifications: Maintains current American Heart Association BLS
  • Work Experience: Two years current ambulatory nursing required. Oncology/Infusion experience required. Medical Specialties experience preferred.
  • Linguistic Capabilities: Ability to speak a second language preferred.
