Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver personalized cancer patient care within the Genitourinary Oncology Program. You will support up to six physicians and several nurse practitioners on clinic days, providing education and procedural assistance as needed.

We are a high-paced, high-volume, National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center with concentrated programs for even the rarest malignancies, and many of our physicians are fellowship-trained in urologic sub-specialties. As a result, we are a trusted partner of physicians across the nation in need to refer their patients to an advanced program for genitourinary cancer diagnosis or treatment.Our Genitourinary Oncology Clinic accommodates 70-100 patients daily who have been diagnosed with or require diagnostic testing for any of the following cancers:•Adrenal cancer•Bladder cancer•Kidney cancer•Penile cancers•Prostate cancer•Renal cell cancer•Teratoma•Testicular cancer•Urethral, urachal, ureteral or urothelial cancerWe are currently looking for a Registered Nurse to join our team.Position Highlights:The Registered Nurse will provide support to up to 6 Physicians on some clinic days and up to 5 Nurse practitioners on other clinic days.On occasion, the Registered Nurse may be scheduled to work at our location near International Plaza.The Registered Nurse delivers individualized quality nursing care to cancer patients and families in accordance with established hospital guidelines, nursing professional practice model, nursing care standards and policies and in accordance with ANA code of ethics and external regulatory agencies.Registered Nurses embody the vision, mission, and philosophy of Moffitt Nursing and are committed to and accountable for personalized patient and family centered care and the concepts of Duffy's quality caring model/caring factors. This is demonstrated in base-line and comparative documentation, entered in a timely manner, and with evidence of age-appropriate consideration when care is planned, delivered, and evaluated.The Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate will have the following experience:Educating patients on all pre-op and post-op GU Surgical and Medical Oncology proceduresPhone triaging from time to time as part of his or her shift, sometimes the entire shiftSupporting 2 Medical Oncologists, 4-5 Surgeons, and 5 Nurse Practitioners on different clinic daysPerforming cystoscopies, Foley catheter insertions, ostomy care, staple removal, wound care, bladder scanning and rectal swabs.Credentials and Qualifications:ASN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with 1 year of relevant experienceFL RN LicenseBLS CertificationAn applicant for this position, who will be or is seeking Florida licensure by endorsement, must not have any National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB) reports, unless the applicant has successfully appealed to have their name removed from the NPDB.
