Job summary

Cleveland Clinic’s Main Campus is seeking an RN to join the Allergy and Clinical Immunology team. You will provide ambulatory nursing care, assess health status, administer medications, and educate patients, collaborating with physicians on care plans.

The role requires RN licensure, BSN/ADN, and AHA BLS, with preference for allergy experience. Schedule is Mon–Fri 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. with regional travel and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing (Diploma ADN or BSN).
• Current RN license in the state.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• One year of recent RN/LPN or related ambulatory clinical experience; CC caregiver transition allowed.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
• Assess health status, perform nursing assessments, triage via telephone, and create care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments; initiate CPR and emergency measures.
• Notify physician or LIP of abnormal findings; assist with diagnostic procedures.
• Develop and document health education for patients and families; cover other roles as needed.
• Travel within the region to support clinics and surgical procedures.

As an RN, you will assist fellow caregivers in providing patients with exceptional care, from initial introduction to discharge. In this role, you will interact directly with patients, families, and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and provide healthcare education as needed. Scheduling

A caregiver in this position works Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. No weekends.

Core Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
• Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage, and establish care plans.
• Administer medication and treatments.
• Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.
• Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.
• Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures, and specialized patient care equipment.
• Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families.
• Cover other nursing roles within the department.
• Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing (Diploma ADN or BSN program)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• One year of recent experience as an RN OR LPN, Medical Assistant and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience if applicant is a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting transferring into an RN role but remaining in the same current ambulatory Cleveland Clinic setting OR a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in a clinical role within the same specialty area transferring into an ambulatory area

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Allergy experience

Physical Requirements

• Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye‑hand coordination.
• Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
• May require some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
• Light Work – Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects.
• Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.

Personal Protective Equipment

• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.

Pay Range

• Minimum hourly: $33.50
• Maximum hourly: $53.40
