Responsibilities

• Stabilizes acute mental health crises and fosters a safe, therapeutic environment for long-term recovery.

• Collaborates with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and primary care physicians to ensure continuity of care.
• Educates patients and families on their rights, advance directives, and informed consent during admission and care.
• Delivers patient and family teaching on coping strategies, symptom management, and treatment plans.

By conducting rigorous psychiatric evaluations, managing complex treatment plans, and leading interdisciplinary care teams, the role provides pivotal support to individuals navigating behavioral health challenges.
