Job summary

Luxor Healthcare is seeking a dedicated LPN - RN Unit Manager to lead the nursing department and ensure high‑quality resident care in a full‑time role. You will manage staffing, QA processes, and daily rounds to monitor operations and patient safety in a Missouri facility.

The role requires an LPN license in Missouri, leadership ability, and a focus on improving patient care within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the nursing department including staffing and quality assurance.
• Perform daily rounds to observe operations and recommend corrections while upholding resident rights, safety and infection control.
• Collaborate with QA nurse to review incidents and initiate corrective actions.
• Supervise staffing levels, reallocate staff as needed and ensure duties are fulfilled.
• Participate in QA/QI program and complete audits with reported results.
• Rotate after hours on‑call duties as assigned.
• May fill staff nurse role during nursing shortages.

LPN - RN Unit Manager – Essential Function:

• Works under the direction of the Director of Nursing and manages the day-to-day operations of the nursing department, including but not limited to staffing requirements, quality assurance and monitoring of resident care.
• Makes regular rounds daily in order to observe operations and make recommendations for corrections as needed. Ensure that resident’s rights are maintained, as well as safety and infection control protocols are maintained.
• Work in conjunction with quality assurance nurse reviewing and analyzing resident incident reports and initiating corrective action.
• Supervise daily staffing requirements, reallocating staff as needed, ensuring compliance with duties.
• Participate in the facility’s Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement program, completing audits and reporting of results..
• Rotate after hours on-call duties as assigned.
• May be required to work floor as a staff nurse in event of nursing shortage.
