Job summary

Freeman Health System is seeking a part-time RN to manage admit and discharge processes at Freeman West. You will perform nursing assessments, coordinate placements with Admissions and Bed Control, and monitor patients in the Admit/Discharge Lounge until transfer to a unit.

Requirements include Missouri RN license (or compact), ACLS and BLS within specified timelines, NIH Stroke Scale certification within 365 days, and completion of Patient Care Orientation.

Qualifications

• ACLS within 90 days.
• BLS within 30 days.
• Stroke CEU hours - 4 per year annually by transcript due date.
• Current Missouri RN license or compact state RN license.
• Must pass Patient Care Orientation.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification within 365 days.
• RN Competency Day annually by transcript due date.
• Stroke CEU Hours - 4 per year annually by transcript due date.

Responsibilities

• Assist in admitting and discharging patients and positioning direct admit patients.
• Collaborate with Admissions, Bed Control and Direct Call for appropriate placements.
• Monitor patients in Admit/Discharge Lounge until transportation to the nursing unit.

Assists nursing units with admissions and discharges and monitors any patients in the Admit/Discharge Lounge while waiting for transportation at discharge. **Requirements**1.AHA ACLS within 90 days.2.AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers within 30 days.3.CardioVascular Disease CEU hours - 4 per year annually by transcript due date.4.
