Baptist Health - Central Alabama in Montgomery is seeking an RN - Administration Supervisor to ensure quality patient care within the Nursing Service Management Team. This role includes staffing oversight and serving as a clinical resource for nurses. The ideal candidate will have a degree in nursing and prior supervisory experience.
The Supervisor will guide the Nursing Service Department when leaders are unavailable, adapting staff needs based on patient care requirements. Experience and certifications in critical areas like BLS, ACLS, and PALS are essential.
The RN - Administration Supervisor is a member of the Nursing Service Management Team and is responsible for assuring quality patient care. The Supervisor shall participate in staffing by making the necessary adjustments to provide the needed staff on each nursing unit by observing the worked hours per patient day, staff mix, and acuity. The Supervisor will serve as a role model and clinical resource for staff nurses. The Supervisor has the responsibility and authority to direct the Nursing Service Department in the absence of the Directors and Chief Nursing Officer. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
Degree in Nursing required, BSN preferred. Minimum 18 months as a RN required. Previous experience in a hospital Supervisory or Managerial role preferred.
Active RN license required, BLS required, ACLS required, PALS required, Chemotherapy administration certification required.
Position requires sitting for 20% of the workday and mobility 80% of the workday. There is occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching. There is frequent reaching, use of hands and repetitive action. Requires occasional lifting or carrying up to 35 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 150 pounds. There is a continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person. Continuous visual acuity at close and distant range. Inside protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Minimal noise levels. Much exposure to computer work. Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock. Some exposure to infectious disease while performing job-related tasks. Some exposure to hazardous chemicals. Occasional exposure to radiation.
