Qualifications

Unit Overview

The 3E Additional Care/Telemetry Overflow Unit provides care for and monitors heart rhythms for cardiac patients. As an RN on this team, you will learn and enhance your nursing skills through hands‑on patient care experience. Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care
• Implement and monitor patient care plans
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions
• Evaluate, update, and revise the plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing (ADN or BSN program)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• One year of current acute care RN experience or licensed military RN experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or ALS through the American Red Cross
• NIH Stroke Scale certification

Physical Requirements

• Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye‑hand coordination
• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time
• Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range
• Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours
• Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids
• Medium work: exerts 20–50pounds of force occasionally, 10–25pounds frequently, or greater than negligible up to 10pounds constantly to move objects
• Physical demand requirements exceed those for Light Work

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required
