Job summary

Job Description
  • Provides direct and indirect patient care.
  • Provides assessment and planning for individualized patient care.
  • Communicates with physicians about changes in patient’s clinical condition, diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
  • Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
  • Performs general nursing duties.
  • Participates in performance improvement activities.
  • Knowledgeable of a wide range of disorders; cognitive, emotional, developmental, social and behavioral.
  • Performs crisis intervention.
  • Communicates with physicians, Nurse Manager or co‑workers, as appropriate, about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
  • Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
  • Participates in the department's performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.
Qualifications
  • Must be flexible, adapt to changing workloads, and work well with staff on different units.
  • CPR, ACLS preferred.
  • Prefer at least 1 year of Med Surg experience.
  • Current Indiana RN or LPN license.
