Job summary

Advocate Health’s Navicent Health Medical Center - Nursing: Medical/Surgical IU 8 Main is seeking a part-time nurse for 24 hours per week. The role includes a pay range of 34.90 to 52.35 per hour and a sign-on bonus eligibility. The unit is a 35-bed telemetry floor with a patient-to-nurse ratio around 1:5 (1:6 at times).

The nurse will assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate care, and serve as educator, colleague, researcher, advocate and leader. GA license and BLS are required.

Qualifications

  • Degree from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current GA nursing license or eNLC nursing license.
  • Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
  • Participate in decisions related to patient care and nursing practice as educator, colleague, researcher, advocate and leader.
  • Ensure quality care, process improvement, patient and employee safety, collaboration and professional development.
  • Plan, organize, delegate and evaluate patient care rendered by LPNs, technicians and other staff.

Department: 34413 Navicent Health Medical Center - Nursing: Medical/Surgical IU 8 Main Status: Part time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hours Per Week: 24 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Varies Pay Range $34.90 - $52.35 8 Main is a 35 bed medical-surgical nursing floor with telemetry monitoring. This position is Sign-on Bonus eligible. Nurse to patient ratio is typically 1:5, but may be 1:6 at times. The patient population is so diverse it makes 8 Main a great place to learn and grow.

Responsible for assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation and evaluation for patients served. As an active participant in decisions related to patient care and nursing practice, serves as educator, colleague, researcher, advocate and leader.

Must demonstrate competency in assuring quality care, Process Improvement, patient and employee safety, collaboration, consultation and professional development.

Assumes responsibility for planning, organizing, delegating and evaluating patient care rendered by LPNs, technicians, Medical Receptionists and other staff.

Requirements
