Job summary

Kettering Health Dayton is seeking a Registered Nurse for the night shift to provide comprehensive nursing care in our cardiac-focused unit. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to monitor patients, administer treatments, and educate families on post-discharge care.

Applicants must be licensed in Ohio as an RN, with a BSN preferred to be completed within five years of hire. BLS is required, and ACLS/NRP/PALS may be required by unit scope of practice.

Qualifications

Responsibilities & Requirements

• The Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process in providing nursing care to patients in all settings in collaboration with other health care providers.
• The RN is accountable for his/her own professional development and practice within the scope of care defined by law.
• Utilizing organizational resources, the RN acts as a patient advocate for the delivery of safe care including delegation of care and participation in performance and practice improvement activities.
• The delivery of nursing care within the Kettering Health Network reflects the missions, vision, values, and philosophies, of the organization and nursing departments

Qualifications

Applicants Must Have:

• Licensed in the state of Ohio as a Registered Nurse
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (NLN, ACEN, or CCNE) if they are a new graduate nurse.
• Bachelor of Science in nursing preferred (must be completed within 5 years of hire).
• A nurse who is returning to the acute care setting after five or more years may be required to provide evidence of successful completion of a refresher course.
• BLS certification
• ACLS, NRP, PALS as determined by unit scope of practice

Intermediate care unit providing comprehensive care to patients with a variety of disease processes, with a primary focus on cardiac conditions. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with complex medical needs, particularly those affected by heart-related illnesses including but not limited to heart failure, arrhythmias, post cath lab intervention, and myocardial infarctions.

Looking for highly motivated and engaged individuals who can adapt in any environment to provide high quality safe care to patients. 27 bed unit average daily census 18-24 patients. Nurse patient ratio 1:4 ratio.
