Job summary

Kettering Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 4S Med Surg unit at KH Main Campus in Kettering, OH. This role involves delivering nursing care in collaboration with the healthcare team and contributing to patient safety and quality improvement.

The RN must be licensed in Ohio, with a BSN preferred. BLS is required, and ACLS/NRP/PALS may be required based on unit scope. This is a full-time position with opportunities for professional growth within the KH network.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed in the state of Ohio as a Registered Nurse.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (NLN, ACEN, or CCNE).
• BSN preferred; must be completed within 5 years of hire.
• A nurse who is returning to the acute care setting after five or more years may be required to provide evidence of a refresher course.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS as determined by unit scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process in providing care to patients in all settings in collaboration with other health care providers.
• The RN is accountable for their own professional development and practice within the scope defined by law.
• Utilizing organizational resources, the RN acts as a patient advocate for safe care including delegation of care and participation in performance and practice improvement activities.
• The delivery of nursing care within the KH Network reflects the missions, values, and philosophies of the organization and nursing departments.

Education
