Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional pre-operative and post-operative care for patients of all ages, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. This role requires technical skills, patient assessment, education, and discharge planning within a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for the care of patients with a variety of health care needs and disease processes. Duties will include conducting assessments, providing education, and ensuring a smooth discharge process.

Qualifications

• Education:
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (A.S.) or equivalent: Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing: Preferred
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in medical surgical nursing within the last 2 years: Preferred
  • Minimum of one year experience in pre-operative and post-operative care in a diagnostic cath lab: Preferred
• Licenses/Certifications:
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice: Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor: Required
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor: Required
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from an approved vendor: Required

Essential Functions

• Identify common patient problems, symptoms, and behavioral changes using standards of care.
• Recognize symptoms of cardiac or respiratory distress, or other impending emergencies.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skill in post-operative patient recovery care.
• Accurately interpret ECG rhythms and manage care during life-threatening emergencies.
• Make recommendations for monitoring based on patient presentation.
• Understand and follow the chain of command as per policy.
• Review medical history and all available assessment data to inform nursing care plans.
• Report abnormal diagnostic data to the appropriate persons.
• Delegate patient care tasks to ancillary personnel based on individual competencies.
