Maxim Healthcare in Burlington, IA is hiring a Registered Nurse to deliver pediatric in-home care for a child in their home. The role requires applying the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate care, and to monitor patient status with timely physician communication.

Responsibilities include medication administration, care coordination, and adapting plans as patient needs change. Requires an Iowa RN license, current Health Certificate, BLS, and preferably 1 year of RN experience.

Qualifications

• Current Health Certificate required.
• BLS/CPR certification current.
• TB test or Chest X-Ray up to date.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Initiates the plan of care and requests revisions as patient status changes.
• Implements therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions.
• Responds to changes in patient condition and notifies physician or supervisor.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed and documents outcomes.
• Reviews care plans and coordinates education, discharge planning as needed.

Hourly Pay: $38 / hour

Maxim Healthcare is hiring in Burlington, Iowa for a Registered Nurse to work with a Pediatric patient in their own homes.

Available shifts

• Thursdays and Fridays (7:45a-5p)
• Monday and Tuesday (7:30a-4:30p)

Responsibilities:

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from prescriber any necessary revisions as patient status and needs change
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
• Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to appropriate physician or supervisor
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention
• Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting and discharge planning needs, as applicable

Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Current Health Certificate (per facility Registered Nurse (RN) contract or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year prior Registered Nurse (RN) experience preferred.
