Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical/Surgical Telemetry department in New Jersey. The position is hourly with a two 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM–7:30 AM, 24 hours total).

Responsibilities include patient assessments, safe administration of meds, care coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and thorough EMR documentation to ensure continuity and safety. NJ RN license and BLS required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Active NJ RN license in good standing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• Experience with EPIC EMR or similar healthcare IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes to intervene early.
• Administer medications and treatments safely with strong clinical judgment.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record to ensure continuity of care.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to coordinate timely patient care.

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and a current American Heart Association BLS certification. A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, as is prior patient care experience and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. This position is a part-time night shift opportunity consisting of two 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM (24 hours total), allowing you to build strong patient relationships while maintaining full-time balance.
