Job summary

Devonshire Care Center in Sterling, CO is seeking an experienced RN to provide compassionate nursing care to residents. You will follow care plans, monitor conditions and collaborate with the care team to maintain dignity and quality in every interaction.

The role requires Colorado RN license, CPR certification, and 1-3 years of direct care experience in a Skilled Nursing setting. This full-time position offers benefits and a $3,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of direct care experience in a Skilled Nursing environment preferred
• Nursing degree from an accredited program is required
• Current, unencumbered Colorado RN license at time of hire
• CPR certification required
• Familiarity with nursing equipment and devices is expected

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and monitors residents' condition and provides professional nursing care per care plans and physician orders
• Contributes to standards of care formulation and evaluation with the interdisciplinary team
• Initiates emergency support measures when needed
• Coordinates resident admission, transfer, and discharge including required documentation per regulations and policies
• Performs assessments to identify changes in residents' physical or psychological condition
• Ensures nursing history is documented in the medical record for all residents

RN POSITION SUMMARY

Plans and delivers nursing care to residents in accordance with current company, federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations to ensure that the highest degree of quality care and dignity is maintained at all times.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Demonstrates commitment to company's mission, values and standards of ethical behavior.
• Evaluates and monitors residents' condition and provides professional nursing care in accordance with care plan and doctor's orders.
• Provides input in the formulation and evaluation of standards of care in conjunction with facility interdisciplinary team members.
• Initiates emergency support measures when needed.
• Coordinates resident admission, transfer, and/or discharge including completing appropriate forms and required documentation in accordance with government regulations and company policies.
• Performs assessment functions including identification of changes in the resident's physical or psychological condition (i.e., changes in lab data, vital signs, mental status).
• Ensures that nursing history is present in medical record for all residents.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

• 1-3 years' experience providing direct care to multiple patients/residents preferred; previous experience in Skilled Nursing environment desirable
• Nursing degree from accredited college or graduation from approved RN program required
• Must possess current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN in Colorado
• Current valid CPR certification required
• Maintains knowledge of equipment set-up, maintenance and use, i.e. monitors, infusion devices, drain devices, etc.
