Job summary

Continuing Care Hospital - Lexington is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate, high-quality care and perform skilled procedures. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to implement comprehensive care plans focused on patient recovery.

Required: RN license in Kentucky, CPR at hire, ACLS within 6 months, and graduation from an accredited nursing program. BSN preferred. Hospital-based benefits and sign-on may be available.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Registered Nurse: KY license at hire.
  • Basic Life Support (CPR) required at hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Take critical assessments and perform skilled nursing procedures.
  • Develop and implement patient care plans with interdisciplinary team.
  • Administer medications, IV therapy and treatments per policy.
  • Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans to reach optimal outcomes.
  • Uphold patient autonomy, dignity, and rights in all care.

  • Assumes responsibility for acquiring knowledge and skills necessary for patient care in the identified practice setting.
  • Performs assessment and analyzes patient problems and conditions using critical decisioning to determine need for standard, urgent or emergent interventions.
  • Implements and/or modifies plan of care using assessment data, standards of care and evidence based practice inclusive of nursing care coordination, appropriate patient and family education, and discharge planning. Facilitates interdisciplinary partnership in patient care.
  • Integrates ethical provisions in nursing practice and delivers care in a manner that preserves and protects patient autonomy, dignity and rights.
  • Administers medications, IV therapy, and treatments in compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Evaluates progress towards attainment of desired patient outcomes.
