Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking an experienced Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse in Newburgh, NY to join a busy outpatient oncology practice. The ideal candidate administers chemotherapy and immunotherapy and provides patient-centered care in an infusion setting.

Required NY RN license, 2+ years Oncology Infusion Nursing, ONS Provider Card, and BLS. Preference for OCN and advanced oncology certifications. Schedule is 8:00 AM–6:00 PM, four days per week with a rotating day off.

Qualifications

• Active New York State RN license.
• Minimum 2 years Oncology Infusion Nursing experience.
• Current Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Provider Card.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Strong knowledge of chemotherapy administration and infusion practices.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other prescribed infusion treatments in accordance with oncologic protocols and safety standards.
• Assess patients before, during, and after infusion treatments to ensure stability and readiness.
• Monitor patients for infusion-related reactions, adverse events, and complications, escalating concerns as needed.
• Review laboratory results, physician orders, and treatment plans to verify eligibility and accuracy prior to infusion.
• Provide patient and family education regarding regimens, medications, side effects, symptom management, and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with oncologists, APPs, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to join a busy oncology practice in Newburgh, NY. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience administering chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments while providing exceptional patient‑centered oncology care in an outpatient infusion setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other prescribed infusion treatments in accordance with established oncology protocols and safety standards.
• Assess patients before, during, and after infusion treatments to ensure clinical stability and treatment readiness.
• Monitor patients for infusion‑related reactions, adverse events, and complications, responding appropriately and escalating concerns when necessary.
• Review laboratory results, physician orders, and treatment plans to verify treatment eligibility and accuracy prior to infusion.
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatment regimens, medications, potential side effects, symptom management, and follow‑up care.
• Collaborate closely with oncologists, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
