Job summary

Based in Chesapeake (Carmichael), this role may require standing for extended periods and shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. Current VA RN license and BLS are required; ACLS is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• New graduates welcome; clinical experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in accordance with established protocols.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the team promptly.
• Provide patient and family education regarding health conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training activities.
