Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat seeks an RMF Cybersecurity Test Engineer to support system accreditation activities and strengthen compliance posture. The role reports to ISSO and collaborates with the Lead System Engineer to maintain accreditation.

Responsibilities include interpreting RMF requirements, updating documentation, identifying gaps, and coordinating vulnerability assessments, while staying current with STIGs and DoD/Navy guidance. Travel is limited; on-site work is expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years evaluating RMF compliance for a system.
• 2+ years IT experience (AD, Exchange, Tanium, Trellix).
• Active Secret security clearance required.
• Ability to obtain DoD Top-Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and apply RMF requirements across system components.
• Develop, maintain, and update RMF documentation.
• Identify security and compliance gaps on the system.
• Collaborate with the team to improve compliance posture.
• Stay current with STIGs, DoD/Navy guidance, and emerging cybersecurity threats.
• Support vulnerability assessments, remediation efforts, and evidence collection.
