Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Reliability Maintenance Engineering Operator (RMEO) to begin a technical career in a structured entry role. No prior electrical or mechanical experience is required, and you will support daily maintenance while building core skills in equipment maintenance and site operations.

The role provides a clear pathway into the Mechatronics & Robotics Apprenticeship program, with opportunities to grow within the RME organization as automation expands across our sites.

Job Purpose

Reliability Maintenance Engineering(RME) teams are expanding with a new opportunity: RME Operator(RMEO). The RMEOperator role is a structured entry point into the RME organization designedfor individuals who are interested in beginning a technical career. No priorelectrical or mechanical experience is required. This position supportsthe RME team in daily maintenance activities while building foundational skillsin equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and site operations. The role isdesigned to prepare individuals for continued technical progression,including eligibility for the Mechatronics & Robotics Apprenticeship (MRA)program. As automation continues to grow across our sites, technical roleswithin RME are becoming increasingly critical to operational success. RMEOprovides a clear pathway into this field.

What You'll Do

• Follow safe work practices while performing preventive maintenance checks

What You'll Need

• Basic math skills
• Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to follow instructions and solve problems in routine maintenance and operational situations while maintaining safety compliance
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, stooping, and climbing stairs or ladders, with or without reasonable accommodation

PreferredQualifications

• Technical education in a related field
• 1+ year of experience working in a distribution, warehouse, or industrial environment
• 1+ years of experience with material handling and conveyance systems
• 1+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.

AssessmentProcess

Applicants will be asked to completea basic math assessment covering foundational arithmetic skills, includingaddition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and orderofoperations. No advanced math knowledge is required. It is designed toensure readiness and support long-term success within the RME pathway.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the position is $46,340 annually [or $22.76 per hour] and the maximum salary for the position is $53,040 annually [or $25.50 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
