Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma; technical certification preferred.
  • 1–2 years in RMA, repair, or technical support
  • Experience with electronics repair and product testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and evaluate returned products or equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with returned items using technical knowledge.
  • Test products according to manufacturer specs and industry standards.
  • Perform repairs, upgrades, or refurbishments to restore functionality.
  • Maintain accurate records of RMA transactions and outcomes.
  • Manage work orders and attach documentation to each return.
  • Perform quality checks on repaired or replaced items.

The RMA Technician ensures a smooth and efficient process for handling returns, from receipt through to resolution or replacement.

The RMA Technician ensures a smooth and efficient process for handling returns, from receipt through to resolution or replacement.


Key Responsibilities


  • Product Inspection and Diagnosis: o Receive, inspect, and evaluate returned products or equipment

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with returned items using technical skills and knowledge oTest products according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards

  • Repair and Refurbishment: o Perform necessary repairs, upgrades, or refurbishments to return products to full working condition

  • Ensure that all repairs are carried out efficiently, safely, and according to quality standards

  • Documentation and Reporting: o Maintain accurate records of all RMA transactions, including details of the defect, repair actions, and outcomes.

  • Manage work orders for RMA processes, ensuring that proper documentation is attached to each return.

  • Quality Assurance: o Perform quality checks on repaired or replaced items to ensure functionality and compliance with company and industry standards

  • Ensure that defective items are disposed of or recycled according to company policy and environmental guidelines

  • Inventory Management: o Assist in managing and tracking RMArelated parts and inventory

  • Process Improvement:

  • Suggest and implement improvements to RMA processes to increase efficiency, reduce return rates, and enhance customer satisfaction


Qualifications

Education


  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree or technical certification in electronics or a related field preferred.


Experience


  • 1-2 years of experience in an RMA or technical support role, or a similar customer-facing, troubleshooting position.

  • Experience in electronics repair, hardware troubleshooting, or product testing is a plus.


Skills


  • Strong troubleshooting and technical skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly. oAbility to work with various tools and testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. oStrong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.


Physical Requirements


  • Ability to lift and handle equipment (up to 40 lbs) and work in a hands-on, physically demanding environment.
