Job summary

Parsons is seeking an Electronics Technician to install, maintain, and repair electronic equipment for the FAA VS&R program. You will support replacements at ATCTs and other facilities, traveling across the USA as needed.

The role requires reading schematics, wiring, and test equipment usage, with strong teamwork and safety compliance. You will collaborate with engineers and project managers to complete installations on time and within budget, performing maintenance, tests, and documentation of

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with 6+ years in testing, repairing and installing fiber optics and electronics.
• Proven experience installing and maintaining electronic equipment and systems.
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics and diagrams.
• Strong problem solving and attention to detail; good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist with site preparation for voice switches at ATCTs and other facilities.
• Install and configure electronic equipment, servers, routers and switches.
• Set up equipment racks and ensure proper organization and accessibility.
• Terminate LAN cables and wiring with proper connections.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot using test equipment.
• Troubleshoot, repair, align and calibrate audio and voice systems.
• Follow manuals and diagrams; conduct tests to verify functionality.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to meet schedules.
