Job summary

Bally's Interactive is seeking a Riverboat Engineer Watchstander in Shreveport to perform preventive maintenance, ensure continuous power with shore or diesel generators, and monitor critical systems. You will coordinate tasks with the Captain-of-the-Watch and supervise the Riverboat Technician to keep equipment in top condition.

The role requires completing the EOW qualification, a basic firefighting course (USCG-approved or Shreveport Fire Department), CPR/First Responder and AED

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Accredited firefighting course (USCG-approved or Shreveport Fire Department).
• CPR, First Responder, and AED certification required.
• Knowledge of computers and ability to generate documents and keep records.

Responsibilities

• Completes scheduled preventive maintenance tasks and other work assigned by the EIC.
• Maintain a continuous power supply to the riverboat via shore power or diesel generators; ensure auto-start and load transfer.
• Conduct periodic rounds to verify machinery and equipment function; check fire and safety equipment and take corrective action.
• Respond to maintenance calls during the watch and provide remedies as needed.
• Notify the EIC of system malfunctions per Standing Orders and maintain an engine room watch log.
• Fulfills emergency response duties assigned to the EOW in Station Bills.
• Other duties as assigned; comply with Attendance Policy; accommodate varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
