Job summary

Farmers Group Inc. in the United States seeks a Risk & Strategic Planning Consultant to design, lead, and oversee the planning and analytics of team projects. This role acts as a subject matter expert in analytics within the line of business, supporting objectives to achieve strategic goals.

Designs and oversees reporting, predictive modeling, and insights for senior leadership, driving performance and collaboration across departments in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 7-10 years experience in Finance, Operations, Product and/or Strategy.
• Strong strategic problem solving skills and comfortable dealing with complex analysis.

Responsibilities

• Leads all department reporting and analysis including scorecards and market planning.
• Analyzes and reports adverse trends to department leadership.

Job Summary

Designs, leads and oversees the planning and analytics of team projects. Serves as a subject matter expert in analytics within the line of business and supports departmental objectives in order to achieve overall strategic business goals.

Essential Job Functions

• Leads all department reporting and analysis which may include scorecards, market planning, development and performance monitoring, etc.
• Analyzes and reports adverse trends to department leadership.
• Takes ownership for delivery and standardization of tools and reporting for business growth.
• Creates information by gathering and assembling facts or evidence and performs in-depth analysis from the assembled data.
• Creates new reporting requests and relays new reporting needs to key stakeholders and/or analytic team.
• Generates new and innovative applications for existing concepts.
• Creates, develops and refines analytics within the organization.
• Remains informed of the latest developments, techniques, tools and processes within the analytic space.
• Initiates and leads change within a complex environment by creating new, effective solutions to maximize performance.
• Coordinates/leads teams members on various projects and provides strategic direction to team members.
• Demonstrates sustained performance in managing and inspiring staff.
• Interacts regularly with senior leadership and provides strategic insights based upon predictive modeling/reporting.
• Collaborates with other departments on overall strategy. and to ensure deliverables are met.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Career Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Preferred.

7-10 years experience in Finance, Operations, Product and/or Strategy required. Strong strategic problem solving skills and comfortable dealing with complex analysis required.

Physical Actions

Sits or stands for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift. Occasionally reaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Occasionally moves, lifts, carries, and places objects and supplies weighing 0-10 pounds without assistance. Listens to, interprets, and differentiates auditory information (e.g. others speaking) at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Visually verifies and reads information. Visually locates material, resources and other objects. Ability to operate a computer for extended periods of time, up to a full work shift. Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively to operate keyboard and other office equipment up to a full work shift.

Physical Environment

This position operates in an open office working environment which will include normal and customary distractions, noise, and interruptions.
