  • Working with internal process owners, analysts, tech, and third parties to understand and address issues.
  • Assisting in the analysis and interpretation of Risk Event and/or Issue results to understand implications and determine appropriate corrective actions.
  • Coordinating, influencing, and negotiating with various teams to ensure timelines are met and remediation projects move forward.
  • Contributing to the investigation of root causes and problem‑solving for remediation projects.
  • Maintaining artifacts, evidence, and entries into the system of record.
  • Identifying and escalating situations to leadership in a timely manner.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
  • Supporting process improvements aligned with desired customer outcomes.
  • Developing subject matter expertise on the Issue & Event processes when representing the department in projects and other meetings.
  • Understanding and utilizing Capital One’s Risk Management tools and systems.
  • Assisting in drafting and delivering presentations using well‑reasoned information and cohesive data.
  • Working collaboratively with your direct team and business partners, sharing tools, ideas, and expertise.
An Ideal Candidate Possesses:
  • A strong desire to learn and contribute to a collaborative, cross‑functional team environment.
  • Emerging problem identification, resolution, and analytical abilities.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently in a dynamic environment.
  • An eagerness to learn about Risk Methodologies and corporate risk practices.
Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
  • At least 1 year of experience in Risk Management, Project Management, Process Management, or Banking Operations
