First Horizon Bank in Memphis, TN is seeking an HMDA Risk Specialist I to support the bank’s HMDA compliance program, ensuring accurate collection, analysis, and submission of HMDA data across lending operations. You will review loan files, validate HMDA information, prepare regulatory reports, and assist audits while collaborating with Compliance, Risk, and Lending teams.

Bachelor’s degree and 0+ years banking experience required; strong attention to detail and proficiency with Excel and Word

Qualifications

  • Bachelor (4-year college) degree required.
  • 0+ years of Banking experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of HMDA regulations and compliance principles preferred; willingness to train and develop in the field required.
  • Proficiency with common PC software (Excel, Word, compliance systems/databases).
  • Effective communication skills to interact with associates at all levels and provide excellent client service.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct reviews of loan files to ensure accurate and timely reporting of HMDA data fields.
  • Assist with validation, and correction of HMDA-related information in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with the preparation of regulatory reports and assist in the timely and accurate submission of the HMDA Loan Application Register (LAR).
  • Collaborate with associates in the Compliance, Risk, and Lending Departments to resolve discrepancies and provide guidance on HMDA data collection.
  • Support audits and exams by retrieving documentation, preparing reports, and addressing examiner or auditor inquiries.
  • Participate in ongoing HMDA and fair lending compliance training.
  • Contribute to risk assessments, internal controls testing, and remediation efforts as instructed by management.
  • Performs other related duties as required
