Job description

Brady, Chapman, Holland & Associates, Inc. (BCH) is seeking a highly consultative, client-facing risk professional who understands both operational safety and the business side of insurance risk management. Ideal candidates will have experience supporting or interacting with insurance brokers, carriers, underwriting teams, or risk management clients and are comfortable partnering directly with producers to help win and retain business. This is not a traditional compliance-only safety role. Success in this position requires strong relationship-building, communication, and strategic advisory skills. As a Risk & Safety Solutions Advisor, you’ll operate at the intersection of risk engineering, consulting, and sales, helping clients reduce exposures while strengthening business opportunities for our firm.

What You’ll Do
Partner with Sales & Producers
  • Partner with producers on prospective client assessments to identify risk exposures and improvement opportunities
  • Participate in sales presentations as the technical expert to differentiate our approach
  • Translate complex safety and risk data into clear business value for decision-makers
  • Support underwriting strategy by providing insightful risk analysis and recommendations
Advise Clients & Deliver Solutions
  • Conduct on-site and virtual risk assessments, audits, and operational reviews
  • Deliver actionable recommendations that reduce loss exposure and improve insurability
  • Influence client leadership to adopt practical, high-impact risk mitigation strategies
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on OSHA, regulatory, and operational safety matters
Lead Training & Implementation
  • Deliver engaging safety training programs (OSHA 10/30, toolbox talks, leadership sessions)
  • Help clients operationalize safety improvements, not just identify them
  • Develop customized training materials and risk improvement plans
Build Relationships & Deliver Retention
  • Build strong relationships with clients, prospects, producers, and carrier partners
  • Act as a strategic extension of the sales team
  • Support client retention by demonstrating ongoing value and measurable improvement
What Makes You Successful

You’re not just technical, you’re commercially aware. You know how to walk a job site and confidently engage in executive-level conversations. You’re comfortable building relationships, influencing decisions, and helping organizations improve both operationally and strategically.

Core Strengths
  • Ability to translate technical risk into business impact
  • Strong presence in client and prospect-facing environments
  • Consultative mindset with strong relationship-building ability
  • Confidence influencing leadership teams and decision-makers
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities
Experience & Background
  • 3+ years in loss control, safety consulting, or risk engineering
  • Experience supporting or interacting with insurance brokers, carriers, or underwriting preferred
  • Background in construction or high-hazard industries is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Credentials

One or more of the following:

  • CSP (Certified Safety Professional)
  • ARM (Associate in Risk Management)
  • CSHO or equivalent
Technical & Field Requirements
  • Ability to perform jobsite inspections including working at heights and in varying conditions
  • Comfortable using standard safety equipment (PPE, fall protection, etc.)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and reporting tools
Compensation & Incentives
  • Competitive base salary
  • Performance-based bonus opportunities tied to:
    • New business support
    • Client retention
    • Producer engagement
What Success Looks Like
  • You help win business that would have otherwise been lost
  • Clients implement your recommendations and see measurable improvement
  • Producers actively bring you into opportunities as a competitive advantage
  • You become a trusted advisor, not just a service provider
