Job summary

Joseph Michaels International is seeking a proactive Risk Manager / Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) for our premier long-term care facility in a scenic coastal New York community. You will lead clinical quality and risk mitigation, with hands-on responsibility for investigation, documentation, and reporting of all accidents and DOH-reportable events.

Partner with the DON to oversee daily nursing operations, conduct root-cause analyses, ensure compliance with DOH regulations, and train staff

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice.
• Documented, hands-on experience submitting accident and incident reportables to the Department of Health (DOH).
• 3+ years of RN experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or sub-acute facility.
• Prior experience as ADON, Risk Manager, Quality Improvement Coordinator, or Clinical Supervisor in long-term care.
• Deep understanding of DOH reporting mandates, state surveys, and risk containment.

Located in a scenic coastal community, our premier long-term care facility is dedicated to delivering high-quality, resident-centered care in a supportive, resort-style setting.

We are seeking a proactive Risk Manager / Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to lead clinical quality and risk mitigation. Direct experience investigating, managing, and submitting accident and incident reportables to the Department of Health (DOH) is strictly required.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the investigation, documentation, and mandatory reporting of all facility accidents, incidents, and reportable events to the Department of Health (DOH).
• Partner with the Director of Nursing (DON) to oversee daily nursing operations and maintain high clinical quality standards across the facility.
