Job summary

Turner Enterprises is seeking a Risk Manager in Atlanta, GA to oversee risk management, insurance program administration, contract administration, and legal coordination. ABOUT THE POSITION

The Risk Manager is responsible for supporting and administering the organization’s risk management, insurance, contract administration, and legal coordination functions. This role helps protect organizational assets, reduce financial and operational exposures, coordinate claims and insurance matters, and ensure contracts include appropriate business and risk transfer protections. Working closely with leadership, managers, brokers, carriers, vendors, and outside legal counsel, this position supports compliance, effective risk mitigation, and informed business decision-making.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Risk Management and Insurance
  • Administer the organization’s risk management and insurance programs, including property, casualty, workers’ compensation, automobile, and specialty insurance coverages.
  • Coordinate insurance renewals, underwriting submissions, policy reviews, audits, certificates of insurance, broker/carrier communications, and insurance budget tracking.
  • Evaluate operational, financial, contractual, and insurance-related risks and provide practical recommendations to reduce exposure and support sound business decisions.
  • Review and track certificates of insurance, vendor insurance compliance, and contractual insurance requirements to ensure appropriate coverage and risk transfer protections are in place.
Claims, Safety, and Loss Prevention
  • Coordinate workers’ compensation, liability, automobile, and property claims, including incident reporting, investigations, documentation, return-to-work coordination, reserve monitoring, claim reviews, and resolution activities.
  • Work with brokers, carriers, outside legal counsel, managers, and internal stakeholders to support timely and effective claims handling.
  • Support loss prevention, workplace safety, OSHA compliance, and risk mitigation initiatives designed to reduce organizational exposures and improve operational safety.
Contract Administration
  • In coordination with outside legal counsel, review, prepare, coordinate, and administer contracts, agreements, waivers, releases, and related documents, ensuring appropriate business terms, insurance requirements, indemnification provisions, and risk transfer protections are addressed.
  • Manage the contract lifecycle, including execution, recordkeeping, renewal and expiration tracking, amendments, notice requirements, compliance obligations, and contract repository maintenance.
  • Evaluate contractual risk exposures and communicate legal, operational, financial, and insurance-related considerations to management.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Legal Studies, Finance, Insurance, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in risk management, insurance administration, contract administration, claims management, legal coordination, or a related business function.
  • Working knowledge of property and casualty insurance.
  • Experience managing or supporting claims, including incident reporting, documentation, investigations, reserve monitoring, return-to-work coordination, and claim resolution.
  • Demonstrated ability to review, draft, negotiate, and administer contracts, agreements, waivers, releases, and related legal or business documents.
  • Strong understanding of contractual risk transfer concepts, including indemnification, insurance requirements, limitation of liability, waivers, releases, notice provisions, and compliance obligations.
  • This position requires operation of vehicles, and you’ll need to possess a valid driver’s license or be able to obtain one within 30 days of employment. Your driving record will need to meet the standards and requirements of the Company and the Company’s insurance provider.
  • You’ll need to present documentation establishing both identity and employment authorization within three days of hire pursuant to federal law.
Preferred
  • Professional certification such as ARM, CRM, CPCU, CIC, or similar risk management or insurance designation.
  • Paralegal certificate, contract management certification, or other legal/contract administration training.
  • Experience supporting multi-state operations.
