Job summary

Cabot Risk Strategies is seeking a Risk Management Representative to partner with municipal leaders across Eastern Massachusetts, delivering risk management solutions and building safety programs.

You’ll conduct field visits, analyze data, present recommendations, and train staff while travel is expected throughout Central and Western Massachusetts. Join a team focused on protecting public assets and improving community safety.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in risk management, safety, loss control, or related fields.
• Experience working with municipalities or public-sector organizations is highly desirable
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, FM, and UL standards
• Certifications in OSHA Compliance, First Aid/CPR Instruction, or Defensive Driving are desirable
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout Central and Western Massachusetts

Responsibilities

• Analyze claim trends, loss data, and root causes to identify opportunities for improvement
• Develop and present strategic risk management recommendations to municipal leaders and department heads
• Conduct on-site assessments of property, liability, fleet, and workers' compensation exposures
• Assist municipalities with implementing safety initiatives, policies, and best practices
• Deliver engaging training programs, workshops, and safety meetings
• Stay ahead of emerging risks and industry trends, helping to develop new resources and educational programs
• Build strong relationships with clients and collaborate with underwriting and marketing teams to support member success
• Conduct field-based coaching and training for municipal personnel

What You'll Do

As a Risk Management Representative, you'll help municipal clients identify, assess, and mitigate risk while supporting effective safety and loss prevention programs.

In this role, you will:

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional designations such as ARM, CSP, ASP, or ALCM are a plus
• Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, FM, and UL standards
• Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills
• Certifications in OSHA Compliance, First Aid/CPR Instruction, or Defensive Driving are desirable
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout Central and Western Massachusetts
