JPMorganChase in Plano, TX is seeking a Lead Credit Officer (Vice President) to join the Commercial and Investment Bank Credit Risk team. You will apply advanced credit analysis, structure financing, and advise on risk-adjusted credit decisions for a diverse client portfolio, leading a team of six to eight associates.

Develop forward-looking risk assessments, negotiate credit terms, review ISDAs and credit agreements, and present quarterly portfolio snapshots to senior management.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 7+ years of commercial or investment banking lending experience with credit analysis.
• Strong financial modeling, corporate finance knowledge, and Excel/PowerPoint proficiency.
• Experience with credit agreement documentation and ISDA/CSA knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; leadership experience.

As a Lead Credit Officer Vice President on the Commercial and Investment Bank Credit Risk team, you will apply your analytical abilities and credit industry knowledge to make informed credit decisions for a client portfolio within the Diversified Industries sector. You partner with the business line to fulfill client credit requests while maintaining a balance between risk and return for the firm. You develop forward-looking risk assessments, recommend appropriate credit structures, and proactively manage portfolio quality while leading a team of credit professionals. You help us anticipate emerging risks and deliver sound, defensible credit judgment.

Job responsibilities:

• Identify key risk factors across clients, transactions, and industry sub-sectors and develop forward-looking risk assessments of companies, transactions, competitive threats, and industry dynamics
• Lead or participate in client due diligence through client, bank, and other meetings, using financial models to assess the impact of risk on key value drivers and recommend appropriate credit structures
• Apply corporate finance and accounting expertise to develop financing structures and prepare and review credit approval materials in line with policy
• Review and negotiate legal documentation, including credit agreements and ISDAs, to ensure terms align with credit approval
• Assess client creditworthiness and assign appropriate credit ratings
• Maintain accurate, current risk ratings and proactively identify and manage deteriorating credits and problem situations
• Prepare and present quarterly financial snapshots of the Diversified Industries portfolio and annual portfolio review materials to senior management
• Support training and development of analysts and partner with middle office and data teams to ensure credit system data accuracy
• Manage a team of six to eight associates or senior associates

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 7 plus years of commercial or investment banking lending experience, including extensive credit analysis, structuring, and marketing
• Solid understanding of financial products, corporate finance, financial modeling, and market dynamics
• Advanced knowledge of financial statements and accounting
• Experience with credit agreement documentation
• High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Knowledge of derivative products and documentation, including ISDA and Credit Support Annex (CSA)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to present analysis effectively and interact with key stakeholders
• Ability to perform client due diligence and support negotiation
• Management experience, including leading and developing team members

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• Finance or Accounting degree
