A well-established, multi-entity organization is seeking a Risk & Insurance Analyst to take ownership of commercial insurance administration while contributing to broader enterprise risk, compliance, corporate governance, and M&A initiatives.
Reporting directly to senior executive leadership, this position offers substantial visibility and autonomy. Approximately 80% of the role will focus on insurance and risk management, with the remaining responsibilities providing exposure to corporate governance, strategic risk analysis, and other enterprise initiatives.
The position is particularly well suited for a commercial insurance or corporate risk professional who wants to move beyond transactional insurance administration and play a broader role in managing organizational risk.

Core Responsibilities
Commercial Insurance & Risk Management
- Oversee the day-to-day administration of commercial insurance programs across multiple operating entities
- Coordinate annual insurance renewals by collecting, validating, and organizing exposure information from subsidiaries
- Manage certificates of insurance, endorsements, carrier inspections, insurance audits, compliance submissions, and related documentation
- Review policies and endorsements for accuracy and maintain up-to-date insurance schedules
- Administer property and automobile claims, including reporting, monitoring, and follow-up
- Review insurance invoices, allocate premiums appropriately among entities, and monitor insurance-related expenditures
- Evaluate third-party agreements to confirm required insurance provisions are appropriate and make recommendations when adjustments are needed
Enterprise Risk & Strategic Initiatives
- Develop, maintain, and implement corporate risk management policies and procedures
- Conduct risk assessments and review insurance programs in connection with M&A activity and other strategic business initiatives
- Identify potential areas of exposure and assist leadership with appropriate risk mitigation strategies
- Lead special projects and enterprise risk initiatives in collaboration with executive leadership
Corporate Governance & Compliance
- Coordinate annual entity reporting and related corporate documentation
- Assist with business licensing requirements, state filings, and other corporate governance responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records and ensure required compliance information remains current across operating entities
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in commercial insurance administration, corporate risk management, or a commercial insurance brokerage environment
- Hands-on experience managing or supporting commercial insurance programs
- Brokerage candidates should have experience in service, account management, risk, or analytical functions rather than primarily insurance sales
- Demonstrated experience coordinating insurance renewals, policies, endorsements, claims, certificates, and related compliance activities
- Experience reviewing contracts and evaluating insurance requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered
- Master's degree or MBA is a plus
- Experience supporting a multi-entity organization strongly preferred
- Background in manufacturing, industrial, marine, or another similarly complex operating environment is a plus
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements
