Job summary

Federated Insurance offers a Risk Consultant Internship in the Sacramento area from June 7, 2027 to August 12, 2027, designed to provide real-world experience, meaningful projects, and professional growth with hands-on opportunities and mentorship.

The program begins with a training session at our Headquarters in Owatonna, MN, after which you return to the Sacramento area to engage with clients and apply your learning, visiting sites within your territory.

Qualifications

• Current college students (Junior or Senior) pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Strong communication skills, adaptability, and an eagerness to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Analyze fire hazards to identify potential risks and develop prevention strategies.
• Visit client sites within assigned territory to gather insights and provide actionable support.
• Build and foster relationships with clients and internal partners in Marketing and Underwriting by facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
• Manage assigned workloads, ensuring timely and quality deliverables while maintaining efficiency.
• Deliver a final presentation summarizing your internship experience, achievements, and learnings to leadership.
