Job summary

Crowe is seeking a Consultant in Washington, DC to analyze business processes, assess risk and support regulatory and financial crime engagements. You’ll work across risk consulting teams, applying analytics and AI-enabled tools to improve client outcomes and governance.

You will grow through cross-team collaboration, client interactions, and continuous learning in a fast-paced environment, with travel as needed and opportunities for certification alignment with Crowe’s practices.

Responsibilities

• Analyze client business processes to identify risks, control gaps, inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
• Support internal audit, compliance, control testing, risk assessment and regulatory review activities.
• Gather, review and organize financial, operational, compliance, policy, procedure and control documentation.
• Prepare accurate workpapers documenting testing procedures, samples, results, observations and findings.
• Evaluate client control environments and support governance, risk management, compliance and operational effectiveness recommendations.
• Assist with enterprise and operational risk management activities including risk assessments and program maturity.
• Support finance and compliance projects including financial analysis and reconciliations.
• Assist with model and credit risk engagements by assessing governance, data, documentation and risk practices.
• Support regulatory compliance and financial crime engagements (BSA/AML, sanctions, fraud, etc.).
• Use data, analytics and visualization tools to identify trends and emerging risks.
• Participate in client meetings, walkthroughs, interviews, status updates and presentations.
• Prepare high-quality reports and deliverables communicating observations and next steps.
• Collaborate with Risk Consulting teams to deliver quality client service in a fast-paced environment.
