Job summary

Synchrony is seeking a Senior Control Testing Analyst to lead planning and execution of testing for controls that mitigate operational, regulatory, and financial risks. The role operates within the 2nd line assurance framework and interfaces with risk leaders and business owners.

Responsibilities include developing testing scripts, documenting results, identifying gaps, and driving remediation with management. Flexibility to travel and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of Audit, Testing, Quality or other Assurance function; in lieu of a degree 7+ years of Audit, Testing, Quality or other Assurance function in a financial institution.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute control testing to ensure that key risks are mitigated.
• Document detailed test results to reperformance standards and meet required deadlines.
• Identify control gaps and work with management to obtain remediation action plans.
• Communicate test results to leaders and stakeholders and provide status updates.
• Provide effective challenge to the business regarding risk and controls.
• Influence process owners to modify controls and mitigate risks.
• Provide guidance on risk and mitigation strategies.
• Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
