Job description

About The Company

Macpower Digital Assets Edge Private Limited supports organizations with professional talent and business solutions across specialized functions. The company is seeking a Financial Risk Analyst to contribute to mid-office operations involving contracts, credit, and asset management. This position offers the opportunity to apply financial and analytical expertise to practical risk-management challenges while working with internal teams, vendors, and counterparties.

About The Role

The Financial Risk Analyst will monitor and assess company exposure to financial and operational risks, support credit and contract activities, and produce analysis that informs business decisions. The role is suited to a professional with experience in accounting, credit management, or contracts who can handle complex assignments with sound judgment and moderate guidance. The analyst will use established protocols and advanced working knowledge to investigate issues, assess possible solutions, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders. This is a hybrid-schedule opportunity and may be considered for an extension or full-time employment. The position focuses on first-tier professional assignments across mid-office operations, including contract administration, credit analysis, and asset-related activities. The analyst will also support negotiations of credit terms and review billing matters connected to contractual agreements.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field is required, or equivalent relevant experience. Candidates should typically have two or more years of experience in a related area. Utilities experience is not required; however, experience in accounting, credit management, and contracts is essential. A project management certification or CPA credential is preferred. Applicants should bring intermediate knowledge of risk-management concepts, including claims, insurance, loss prevention, credit analysis, and security interests. Familiarity with relevant software tools and report-generation applications is important, along with intermediate financial modeling skills and experience using Microsoft Excel. Working knowledge of electrical system operations and sound business acumen are also beneficial. The successful candidate will demonstrate analytical thinking, practical problem-solving, and the ability to organize and prioritize work effectively. Strong written and verbal communication skills are needed to prepare clear reports and collaborate across departments. Intermediate negotiation skills are important for supporting discussions with vendors and counterparties. The analyst should be comfortable working independently while seeking guidance when appropriate.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and evaluate transactions and overall portfolios to identify emerging or excessive exposure, anomalies, and unusual activity. Assess the adequacy of risk measurements, track established risk limits, and communicate measurements, exceptions, and relevant developments to senior management.
  • Support the negotiation of credit terms with vendors and counterparties, including guarantees, letters of credit, and Credit Support Annexes. Administer contracts and maintain accurate tracking records, while assisting with billing analysis related to contractual terms and obligations.
  • Conduct financial and credit analyses, develop reports, and provide data that supports the review and validation of risk-management decisions. Perform credit reviews of customers, vendors, and other relevant parties as needed. Help maintain and update corporate credit policies, procedures, and scoring matrices.
  • Provide information for regulatory analyses and compliance requirements, and advise other departments on applicable risk-management policies and regulations. Maintain the integrity and accuracy of data in risk-management systems, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate with colleagues to support reliable reporting and sound decisions.
Benefits
  • This opportunity offers a hybrid work schedule and the possibility of an extension or full-time employment.
  • The role provides exposure to credit, contracts, portfolio monitoring, regulatory support, and cross-functional mid-office operations.
  • It also offers the opportunity to deepen professional expertise through complex assignments and collaboration with business stakeholders.
  • Employment terms, compensation, and any additional benefits will be discussed during the hiring process.
