Job summary

Coates Field Service, Inc. is seeking an experienced Right of Way Agent (In-House) for a pipeline project located in Phoenix, Arizona. This is a hybrid position with three days in the office and two days remote.

The successful candidate will contact landowners, explain the project, secure permissions, and coordinate permits and project documentation throughout the acquisition process.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of legal terminology for land acquisition.
• Capable of completing legal documents such as easements and agreements.
• Ability to plot metes and bounds and read maps and plans.
• Read and analyze right‑of‑way plans and engineering drawings.
• Explain project to landowners and obtain necessary permits.
• Negotiate tenant consents and access agreements.
• Coordinate with landowners, contractors, and officials.

Responsibilities

• Contacts landowners for construction tasks.
• Explains project to landowners and answers questions.
• Documents all contact with landowners (mail, telephone, email, in person).
• Attends daily tailgate meetings.
• Coordinates job sites with construction contractor.
• Coordinates flaggers for work within Railroad property.
• Onsite liaison between landowner and client and construction.
• Secures permission from landowner for entry.
• Negotiates consents and related agreements.
• Maintains parcel files from start to end of project.
• Organizes and delivers required documents for permits.
