Job summary

Alabama Power in Anniston, AL is seeking a Real Estate Specialist to acquire rights of way and land rights for its distribution system. The role involves negotiating with landowners and coordinating with engineers and local offices.

You will perform title research, manage multiple projects, and ensure timely communication with customers and stakeholders. A bachelor's degree is preferred and experience in land acquisitions is highly valued. This is a full-time position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred; relevant work experience considered.
• Experience negotiating with landowners for rights of way is highly preferred.
• Experience performing title research is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acquire right of way for distribution facilities and support related acquisitions.
• Perform title checks and curative work while coordinating with engineering teams.
• Maintain communication with landowners, customers, and internal stakeholders.
• Manage multiple projects with minimal supervision and strict deadlines.
• Interpret drawings and write legal descriptions for property transfers.
• Support storm restoration efforts as assigned.
