Job summary

Spokane County is seeking a Right-of-Way Agent 1 to assist in training, coordination, and review of all right‑of‑way activities for county projects. You will inspect properties, draft and review legal documents, and coordinate with the Real Estate Services Manager to implement new procedures.

The role requires four years of related experience, notary status in WA or ability to obtain within six months, and a valid WA driver's license. This is a full-time position with field and office work.

Qualifications

• Requires notary status in WA or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Four (4) years of experience as a Right-of-Way Agent 1 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Inspect properties in field or office and appraise fair market value.
• Draft deeds, easements, and other acquisition documents.
• Review title commitments and clear titles for acquisition.
• Negotiate and acquire easements, fee ownership, and permits for county projects.
• Assist in relocation payments and claim preparation.
• Train and assist lower-class employees and coordinate with agency partners.
